Awards

This award shines a light on an Australian stroke nurse each quarter in recognition of their dedication to, or an achievement in, stroke nursing. For example, a nurse who has submitted their first conference abstract, written a new evidence-based stroke nursing protocol, or has identified and addressed an area of clinical/patient care risk in their unit. 

Nurses can be nominated by colleagues or self-nominate using an online form on the ASNEN website. Judging will be performed by the ASNEN steering committee and winners will receive a ASNEN pin, a certificate of recognition and be put forward for the ASNEN Nurse of the year award. They will be spotlight-featured on the ASNEN website, the ASNEN newsletter and ASNEN social media sharing their achievements with other acute stroke nurses across the country.
