Our Mission
ASNEN is run by nurses, for nurses.
We are a not-for-profit registered Australian charity whose purpose is to provide opportunities for nurse education by encouraging stroke-specific education and provide networking opportunities for Australian acute stroke nurses.Â
In doing so, we aim to improve outcomes for the many Australians affected by stroke each year, through:
- Facilitating stroke education programs specific to acute stroke nurses
- Encouraging and supporting stroke nurses to undertake appropriate education and training
- Creating and supporting access to education opportunities for acute stroke nurses across Australia
- Fostering a network of nurses caring for people affected by stroke across Australia
- Encouraging networking opportunities and collegial collaboration amongst stroke nurses and other health professions in Australia
